Eid ul Adha is a major Islamic festival that celebrates the willingness of Ibrahim (also known as Abraham) to sacrifice his only son, Ishmael, to pay homage to Allah. It begins with a huge congregation at Mecca where pilgrims from all over the world converge on Mount Arafat for an overnight stay and morning prayers. After prayers, pilgrims walk across a valley towards Mount Safa where they perform a final ritual called tawaf (circumambulation).
At its heart, Eid ul Adha celebrates sacrifice and the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael in order to fulfill Allah’s will. During this time we remember those who have sacrificed their lives for us - be they our parents or loved ones - and celebrate their memory.
Eid ul Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the two most important Muslim holidays. The other is Eid ul Fitr, which occurs a few days after Eid ul Adha.
Eid ul Adha is a time for Muslims to reflect on their faith and their relationship with Allah. They make sacrifices in remembrance of Abraham and Ishmael (Peace be upon them), who were willing to give up everything for their faith.
Eid Mubarak everyone from peoplesnewsbd24 & have a nice day!
